Why do all my rotating proxies look the same?
You might notice that when you generate rotating proxies, they all seem to have the same hostname. Don't worry, this is totally normal! The reason for this is that our rotating proxies use a hostname:port:user:pass format for both rotating residential proxies.
Here's what happens behind the scenes: every time you make a request, the hostname automatically resolves to a new IP address. This ensures that you get a fresh IP for each request.
But what if I want to keep the same IP for a longer period?
If you need to stick with the same IP for a specific amount of time, you can use our sticky option in the configurator. This allows you to "stick" with an IP address for up to 6 and 24 hours for premium and budget proxies, respectively, so you can use it consistently during that time. Just head to your dashboard, select the sticky option, and choose how long you want the IP to remain active.
Static proxies such as static residential or datacenter proxies are bought for a longer period such as 1 week, or a month etc.
